So what's for dinner?
Leftovers
Can't we have something new, like Chicken Parmigiana?
Let's look online to see what's out there
I found three recipes, each of which had interesting parts. Why don't I focus on creating one, but keep in mind the other two?
When we think about our next meal, we don't stress out whether or not it is an original, brilliant idea. We make sure that it satisfies our hunger. If we cook it again, we begin to tweak the dish.
There are so many factors going on in the outcome of a meal:
available ingredients
environmental climate
personal preferences
tools at hand
energy level of the cook
When you follow a recipe, it’s impossible to copy it exactly unless you have identical conditions. Start out with what people have shared and see how you can adapt it to your scenario.
Likewise with our creative work. There's infinite inspiration to draw from. Start somewhere. Get going. Adjust as you move forward.
This is why internet advice has the warning of YMMV: your mileage may vary.
In reality, it's YMWV:
your mileage will vary
Drawing from the work of others, we initially seek a similar outcome.
When in reality, all we can do is copy the process.
» As you research, don't overthink it
» Pick something and see what happens
» Take notes and see how to make it yours
» Share your experiements and work-in-progress so others can learn from you
