What if I told you that all you can do is move one step forward?
They say that Rome wasn't built in a day
Neither is whatever you are trying to build
You look at what others have built
You admire the ingenuity and level of detail, thinking
"I could never accomplish that"
Don't discount yourself
You are the only one with the agency to make your next step forward
Looking up can motivate you to strive harder
But only looking up will keep you in the same position
Just take one step forward
You’ll realize one of three things…
…how easy it is and keep the momentum going
…new opportunities, directions, and connections that emerge
…how hard it is and figure out what you need to work on next
None of those three things can happen if you are frozen in your tracks
In your present moment,
maybe you feel like you can't make any progress
Sometimes, you need to act in order to change that feeling
A heap of sand is made of countless grains, imperceptible to the eye
Your action might seem insignificant,
but it contributes to your progress
Find others to encourage you along the way
Those who've been there before:
"It's totally worth it"
Those at the same point at the journey:
“I'm struggling with that too"
Those who embark on this journey later:
"You're example is encouraging"
If you don't take that step forward, you won't be going anywhere
